Cetus is a dwarf galaxy, and also a constillation. The constellation represents the sea monster sent to Ethiopia as punishment for the boasting of Queen Cassiopeia. The monster is killed by the hero Perseus. Cetus' parents were Gaia and Pontus. More recently Ceteus is represented as a whale.
