Pegasus is a dwarf galaxy, and also a constillation. Pegasus was a winged white horse who the hero Bellerophon came and captured with a golden bridle that was given to him by Athena. There are two versions of the brith of Pegasus. One says that he sprang from Medusa's neck as Perseus beheaded her while another says that he was born of Earth as Medusa's blood spilled upon it. He later became the horse of the Muses. Pegasus aided Bellerophon in his fight against Chimera and the Amzons. Pegasus was immortal and Zeus honored him with a constallation, on that day a single feather fell to the earth near the city of Tarsus.
